History

The Holy Roman Empire (962-1806) -zarmani spent part of a large empire for decades. Under Otto von Bismarck, Germany became a country. World War II (1914–1945) Germany actively participated in both World War I and World War I. After World War II, Germany was divided into East Germany (Communist) and Western Germany (democracy). The Berlin Wall was destroyed and the nation recovered in 1990. Germany is now a leader in research, technology and economics.
